Walking Update – Week 18, 2018

Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 18 of 2018. The update covers the dates Monday 30th of April to Sunday 6th of May.

Stepping Numbers

I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.

First up is the highest day for the week which was Sunday with a total of 19,554 steps. While the lowest day was Monday with a total of 15,749 steps.

I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 120,911 steps. Giving me an average of 17,273 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 2,065,256 steps for the year to date.

This Time Last Year

Looking back to Week 18 of 2017, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 128,846 steps with an average of 18,406 steps per day. The highest day was 22,733 and the lowest day was 15,087. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 18, 2017.

Other Thoughts

Monday was the last day of April, so that means it is time for some extra numbers again. But first, the end of the month has again coincided with hitting a milestone. This is the second milestone for the year of passing 2 million steps. I am definitely somewhat behind the eight ball this year, being week 18 that this is occurring. In 2016 I hit this milestone in week 16.

In April I walked a total of 492,837 steps with a daily average of 16,428 steps. The highest day for the month was the 28th of April with 21,571 steps. While the lowest day for walking was the 8th of April with 15,019 steps. The month was not my lowest for steps on average per day, but did come fairly close to the lowest month, which was November 2017, which was only 3,000 steps less than this month.

The streak is still going well and has reached 238 days in a row walking 15,000 steps per day.
