Stepping Numbers

I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.

First up is the highest day for the week which was Saturday with a total of 18,031 steps. While the lowest day was Thursday with a total of 15,069 steps.

I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 111,530 steps. Giving me an average of 15,932 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 2,543,699 steps for the year to date.

This Time Last Year

Looking back to Week 22 of 2018, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 137,281 steps with an average of 19,611 steps per day. The highest day was 24,763 and the lowest day was 15,203. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 22, 2018.

Other Thoughts

Friday was the end of May and as such there are a few extra numbers for you this week. The total walking for me in May was 492,612 steps which is an average of 15,891 steps per day. The highest day for walking was the 5th of May with 20,011 steps. While the lowest day for walking was the 12th of May with 15,054 steps.

As a month it was the lowest month on average for steps since July 2015 when I started my 15,000 steps per day goal. However, there could be a reason for this in that my father has been in hospital twice this month and passed away on Monday. I feel that I needed to include this, but don’t want it to seem that I am brushing over the fact and at the same time I don’t want to go into it with any depth either.
