Stepping Numbers

I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.

First up is the highest day for the week which was Friday with a total of 19,933 steps. While the lowest day was Wednesday with a total of 16,082 steps.

I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 124,970 steps. Giving me an average of 17,852 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 3,656,608 steps for the year to date.

This Time Last Year

Looking back to Week 29 of 2015, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 100,399 steps with an average of 14,342 steps per day. The highest day was 17,751 and the lowest day was 12,015. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 29, 2015.

Other Thoughts

This week brings up the magic number in my streak of 365 days in a row. The specific day was Thursday and so with the end of the week, my streak has got to 368 days in total.

When I set out with the goal of 15,000 steps a day I started with just a single month in mind. At the time I did not think of getting to a full year. But while there have been some days that have been a push, I did get there in the end.

I thought some numbers for the period would be interesting. The total steps for the 365-day period come in at 6,548,805. Which gives a daily average of 17,941 steps per day across the whole year.

Looking forward I don’t have a set goal for the 15,000 step streak. I will look to keep it going as long as I can.
