Stepping Numbers

I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.

First up is the highest day for the week which was Tuesday with a total of 20,550 steps. While the lowest day was tied between Saturday & Sunday with a total of 15,392 steps.

I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 120,991 steps. Giving me an average of 17,284 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 4,024,774 steps for the year to date.

This Time Last Year

Looking back to Week 32 of 2015, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 128,047 steps with an average of 18,292 steps per day. The highest day was 25,486 and the lowest day was 15,088. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 32, 2015.

Other Thoughts

It would seem that there are a couple of interesting things to talk about this week. The first is the mini-milestone I have had this week of 4 million steps for the year to date. Again I have hit this mark on exactly 8 weeks from the last milestone. Which gives me a good feeling about getting to that 6 million steps somewhere towards the end of November.

The second thing this week, which I guess you could call an oddity, is the steps I got for Saturday and Sunday. Both days I walked 15,392 steps. When I saw this in the app I had to double-check it, but that is what was recorded by my fitness tracker. That is a rather big coincidence and quite surprised to see it.

The streak is still ongoing and this week brings me to 389 days in a row. It is getting close to the 400-day mark now.
