Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 27 of 2019. The update covers the dates Monday 1st of July to Sunday 7th of July.
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Tuesday with a total of 19,490 steps. While the lowest day was Thursday with a total of 15,308 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 117,824 steps. Giving me an average of 16,832 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 3,119,951 steps for the year to date.

Looking back to Week 27 of 2018, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 121,851 steps with an average of 17,407 steps per day. The highest day was 21,378 and the lowest day was 15,258. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 27, 2018.
A couple of weeks ago I talked about how the high and low step day occur on consecutive days often. Well, I decided to go and give it a count and see just how often it does occur. With this being the 236th week of step data that I have and looking back over all of those weeks I counted 58 occurrences of this. They were most prevalent in 2017 with 18 occurrences, but 2016 had 12, 2015 had 11, 2018 had 10 and 2019 has had 7 to date.
Unfortunately, I do not have the mathematical mind to figure out what the chances of this type of occurrence happening is. But I do have a funny suspicion that it is probably a lot fewer than has occurred.
