Stepping Numbers

I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.

First up is the highest day for the week which was Monday with a total of 18,439 steps. While the lowest day was Thursday with a total of 15,166 steps.

I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 115,022 steps. Giving me an average of 16,431 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 5,738,007 steps for the year to date.

This Time Last Year

Looking back to Week 48 of 2016, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 116,243 steps with an average of 16,606 steps per day. The highest day was 18,794 and the lowest day was 15,651. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 48, 2016.

Other Thoughts

Thursday was the last day of November and that means it is time for some additional numbers this month. Through the month of November, I have walked a total of 489,939 steps with an average of 16,331 steps per day. The highest day for walking in the month was the 10th of November with 19,279 steps. While the lowest day for walking was the 16th of November with 15,084 steps.

After speaking about the lowest week last year, I now must also share that this has been the lowest month since July 2015. That is the month I first started on my 15,000 steps per day goal. I was somewhat surprised not to see a single day over 20,000 steps this month, I guess some of what contributes to the low monthly total.

The end of the week brings with it my next position on the road to 400-days in a row for my streak, now at 84 days in a row, walking 15,000 steps.
