Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 1 of 2019. The update covers the dates Monday 31st of December 2018 to Sunday 6th of January.
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Monday with a total of 20,311 steps. While the lowest day was Saturday with a total of 15,225 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 120,168 steps. Giving me an average of 17,166 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 6,204,152 steps to complete 2018 and 99,857 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 1 of 2018, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 112,590 steps with an average of 16,084 steps per day. The highest day was 17,712 and the lowest day was 15,039. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 1, 2018.
Although this post is the first for the new year it is also the end of December and 2018. As such there are going to be more than a couple of extra numbers here today.
First I would like to finish off the month of December. In December I walked a total of 532,662 steps, which is an average of 17,183 steps per day. The highest day for walking was the 19th of December with 21,441 steps. While the lowest day for walking was the 21st of December with 12,185 steps.
Second, let’s take a look at 2018 overall. In the end, for the entire year, I walked 6,204,152 which is an average of 16,997 steps per day. The highest day for the year was the 31st of October with 25,751 steps. While the lowest day for the year was the 21st of December with 12,185 steps.
There were, of course, some highs and lows for the year. The biggest high was that I did break my previous record for the longest streak walking 15,000 steps per day. That happened on the 12th of November with a total of 428 days in a row. However, there was also the fact that I missed my 15,000 steps daily target twice and recorded my lowest daily steps since I set the 15,000 step target.
