Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 52 of 2014. The update covers the dates Monday 22nd December 2014 to Sunday 28th December 2014.
Although at different times in the past I have tracked my walking, this week was the first that I owned a more up to date fitness tracker. The tracker was a present for Christmas which landed on Thursday this week and is the reason why my steps start on that day.
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Sunday with a total of 12,883 steps. While the lowest day was Thursday with 1,579 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of one time this week and walked a total of 33,135 steps. Giving me an average of 4734 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 33,135 steps for the year to date.
The first thing that I found wearing a fitness tracker on the first day was that it highlighted some inactivity. Trust me while there are days that I do get up and walk a lot, it is also easy for a day like Christmas to result in not moving much at all.
Initially, I would not put to much pressure on to achieve a goal right away. Take the first week or so to find your feet with how active you are, and work up to your goal.
