Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 3 of 2017. The update covers the dates Monday 16th of January to Sunday 22nd of January.
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Wednesday with a total of 21,211 steps. While the lowest day was Tuesday with a total of 15,574steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 123,416 steps. Giving me an average of 17,630 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 372,844 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 3 of 2016, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 131,085 steps with an average of 18,726 steps per day. The highest day was 20,393 and the lowest day was 16,360. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 3, 2016.
We are a couple of weeks into the new year and I just wanted to revisit what the goal is for the year. I am looking to make the 6.5 million step mark which is only just slightly higher than I acheived last year. But looking at that number what is it that I actually need to do to get there.
Well if I was to break it down across the whole year, I would need to walk on average 125,000 steps per week. That does not mean that I have to get to that every week, but as an average that is what is needed. So far for the last couple of weeks I have not quite been there and will need to increase just a little if I am to make the goal for the year.
The streak to walk 15,000 steps per day is going well and has now reacehd 134 day in a row.
