Stepping Numbers

I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.

First up is the highest day for the week which was Tuesday with a total of 17,544 steps. While the lowest day was Saturday with a total of 15,103 steps.

I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 113,278 steps. Giving me an average of 16,182 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 3,031,311 steps for the year to date.

This Time Last Year

Looking back to Week 26 of 2017, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 115,524 steps with an average of 16,503 steps per day. The highest day was 17,872 and the lowest day was 15,301. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 26, 2017.

Other Thoughts

Saturday marks the halfway point for the year and the end of June, which means that I have a few extra numbers for you this week. For the third time this year, the milestone of 3 million steps has landed in the same week as the end of the month.

In June I walked a total of 512,058 steps which gives me an average of 17,069 steps per day. The highest day for my walking was the 1st of June with 24,763 steps. While the lowest day was the 30th of June with 15,103 steps. That was kind of interesting to see the first day of the month had the highest steps, while the lowest was on the last day of the month. Some of these coincidences I think would just be impossible to plan, but of course, they do happen.

The streak is still going well and this week has reached 294 days in a row, walking 15,000 steps.
